Avengers: Endgame director Joe Russo shares pic of 'going for the head' practice with Chris Hemsworth aka Thor
Avengers: Endgame co-director Joe Russo shared to Twitter and Instagram a picture of himself along with the former King of Asgard.
Avengers: Endgame's multiple time lines, back and forth, may have taken some time to get used to, but Thor chopping off Thanos' head in the very beginning has been etched in the minds of viewers rather vividly. How great was that one single hit? Well, a recent post by the Russo Brothers on Twitter suggests that Thor indeed practiced it quite a few times before getting it right. Avengers: Endgame co-director Joe Russo shared to Twitter and Instagram a picture of himself along with the former King of Asgard.
Hemsworth and Russo can be seen in discussion while the latter is wielding Thor's new hammer axe Stormbreaker. He wrote, "Day 1 of 'going for the head' practice...". It was this scene onwards in the film that we get to see a whole new and sloppy side to Thor.
Thor's character arc in Endgame was probably one of the most unexpected and a shocking one for many. Endgame writer Christopher Markus had earlier said, "Basically from his first movie, he is headed for the throne. He has all this burden of purpose on him. And so his arc in all these movies is learning to let go of what people expect of him and embrace what he himself feels he is." Check out the picture shared by The Russo Brothers below:
Avengers: Endgame has been creating a stir at the box office and breaking scores of records. Even at the worldwide box office, the film has taken over James Cameron's Titanic and is likely to dethrone Avatar as well.
