The much awaited movie Avatar 2 has got a new release date and has been pushed back to one full year. The movie which happens to be a sequel to James Cameron's Avatar which was released in the year 2009, was initiallyb scheduled to be released on December 18, 2020. But now, Disney has pushed back the release date to December 17, 2021. It has come as a huge shock for the fans as Disney cut Avatar from its line ups of the year 2020. The additional sequels of the movie have also been pushed back.
The first movie Avatar which was released way back in the year 2009 happened to be the highest grossing movie of all times. James Cameron will be returning back as the director of the sequel of this much loved movie. Sam Worthington, who portrays the role of Jake Sully in the first 'Avatar', has revealed that the story of its sequel will pick up eight years after the first movie. Other than the sequel of Avatar, Disney has also scheduled three untitled Star Wars movies for the years 2022, 2024 and 2026.
Avatar happens to be the highest grossing movie in the world. Altogether, four sequels of the movie had been signed a long time back and now the latest announcement made by Disney regarding the delay in the release of its first sequel is definitely going to make the fans get impatient.
