Angelina Jolie got emotional after her Maleficent 2 co star Michelle Pfeiffer joked about motherhood
Angelina Jolie is busy promoting her upcoming release Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. During a recent interaction, Angelina got emotional when the discussion about motherhood came up.
Angelina Jolie and Michelle Pfeiffer will be seen ruling the big screen this weekend with Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. Angelina will be reprising her role as Maleficent in the sequel while Michelle will be essaying the role of Queen Ingrith. The duo has been discussing the new release at press conferences and red carpet events. In a recent press interaction, Michelle and Angelina spilled the beans on the plot of Maleficent 2. It was during the discussion that Michelle drew parallels between Angelina's on-screen role and off-screen life. It was this comparison that left Angelina emotional.
Speaking to People Now, Jolie explained that Maleficent is seen dealing with the changing world around her, her on-screen daughter growing up and the chances of her wedded off. She explains, "It’s not just the two of us quietly living together. With that, comes all the forces from outside, all the different ways of living, all the different opinions.”
Michelle instantly chipped in and joked, "It’s like when your children leave the nest!" The statement struck a chord with Angelina on a personal level and she got a tad emotional. She reportedly paused as she evidently got emotional remembering Maddox leaving her nest. Gathering her thoughts, she said, “Don’t make me cry!”
For those forgotten, Angelina and Brad Pitt's son Maddox moved out of the US to start classes at Yonsei University in South Korea. The college lad shifted to the campus in August and Angelina was present to be by his side on his first day at the campus. Photos and videos from her visit revealed the actress getting emotional about dropping her son off.
