American Music Awards: Selena Gomez all set to open awards night with hit single 'Lose You to Love Me'

The American Music Awards is just hours away and the performer lineup for the night was taken up a notch higher as Shawn Mendes and Halsey were added to the already star-studded list. According to Variety, Halsey will be dishing out her latest  single, 'Graveyard'. Whereas, lovers Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello will be setting the stage on fire for their duet 'Senorita'. When it comes to the AMAs opening act, Selena Gomez will take centre stage and perform her latest chart buster 'Lose You to Love Me' and 'Look at Her Now'.  

This will be Selena's first performance in two years as the pop star had taken a backseat due to her mental and physical health. Her single 'Lose You To Love Me' soared the charts and Selena  earned her  first No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 earlier this month. Apart from Selena, Taylor Swift also will be bringing her A-game after some high profile drama with Scooter Braun. The 'Lover' singer will also bestowed with the Artist of the Decade award and doing the honours will be Carole King. 

Other performers for the night include Camila Cabello, Billie Eilish, Green Day, the Jonas Brothers, Kesha feat. Big Freedia, Dua Lipa, Lizzo, Post Malone feat. Ozzy Osbourne, Travis Scott and WATT, Christina Aguilera and A Great Big World, Toni Braxton, Thomas Rhett and Shania Twain, reported Variety.



The artist with the most number of nominations at the AMAs this year is Post Malone with a grand seven nods. Following him are Ariana Grande and Billie Eilish with six nods each.
