American Music Awards Nominations List 2019: Post Malone bags HIGHEST nods; BTS shines bright

Alexa, play Congratulations by Post Malone. What better song to play than his own after Malone bagged the highest nominations at the 2019 American Music Awards. The nomination list for the music award show recently released. Malone bagged seven nominations to lead the pack. The singer has been nominated under Artist of the Year, Collaboration of the Year Favorite Male Artist – Pop/Rock, and Favorite Artist – Rap/Hip-Hop among others. The singer was followed by Ariana Grande and Billie Eilish who bagged six nominations each. 

Ariana has been nominated for Artist of the Year, Tour of the Year, Favorite Music Video, and Favorite Social Artist among others. This is the first time Billie has featured in the 2019 AMA nomination list. She has been nominated for New Artist of the Year, Favorite Music Video, and Favorite Artist - Alternative Rock among others. 

They might have not received as many nominations as Malone, Ariana and Billie, but BTS has everyone's attention with three nominations. The K-Pop band has been nominated for Favorite Social Artist, Favorite Duo or Group – Pop/Rock and Tour of the Year. However, they aren't the only K-Pop band nominated. EXO has bagged Favorite Social Artist nomination as well. 

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift is on the verge of breaking Micheal Jackson's record. The Lover singer rubs shoulder with Micheal Jackson for the most wins (four) in the Artist of the Year category. If she wins, she could surpass MJ and set a new record.
