Over the past few months, many reports, as well as sexual assault survivors, have come forward with their scathing tales of abuse by fashion designer Alexander Wang. Now, the designer has finally released a new statement via IG in response to the allegations that he sexually assaulted multiple people. If you are unversed with the situation, the 37-year-old designer previously faced allegations in late December and more people have been coming forward in the months since then. While no lawsuit has been filed yet, attorney Lisa Bloom is reportedly representing 11 people who have accusations against Wang.

Now, he is speaking out with a promise to “do better” in the future. “A number of individuals have come forward recently to raise claims against me regarding my past personal behaviour. I support their right to come forward, and I’ve listened carefully to what they had to say. It was not easy for them to share their stories, and I regret acting in a way that caused them pain. While we disagree on some of the details of these personal interactions, I will set a better example and use my visibility and influence to encourage others to recognize harmful behaviours,” he said. Wang concluded, “Life is about learning and growth, and now that I know better, I will do better.”

If you missed it, back in January, Owen Mooney, a British model claimed that the designer groped his crotch at a nightclub in New York. The public allegations of Mooney are from a party that took place in 2017. After his claims, a number of people anonymously came forward to with similar allegations. A post on a famous Instagram account called Diet Prada read, ‘Some claimed to have witnessed a victim being drugged by the designer, or being slipped Molly or other drugs themselves without their knowledge, leading to blacked-out nights and worse.’ The account also shared a few videos and stories by the alleged victims.
