After Richard Madden, Game of Thrones star Kit Harington joins the MCU?

During the Marvel Studios Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2019, it was revealed that Game of Thrones star Richard Madden would be joining the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) as Ikaris in The Eternals. Another GOT star who has been a part of the MCU is Peter Dinklage as Eitri in Avengers: Infinity War. On the other hand, Kit Harington, who we popularly know as Jon Snow from Game of Thrones is yet to sign his next project after the series' last season.

According to Deadline, Kit is following the steps of Peter and Richard and joining the MCU as well. This begs the question - which character will the actor portray? While there hasn't been a formal announcement, we could get a confirmation at the D23 Expo, which is currently underway. The Marvel movies lineup could include the major announcement but for that, we will have to wait and watch to see if Harington does infact broaden his horizons by joining the MCU.

While some are speculating that Harington could replace Hugh Jackman as the new Wolverine, others feel he could replace Chris Evans as Johnny Storm. 

Meanwhile, Kit recently checked himself into a wellness facility to overcome stress and an alcohol problem, as after-effects of Game of Thrones reaching the end. The good news is that the actor is recovering and is in kindred spirits. Harington recently scored an Emmy nomination for GOT as Jon Snow in the Lead Actor in a Drama Series category.
