After Mike Ross' sweet nod, Suits dropped another subtle reference to Meghan Markle? Find Out

Meghan Markle had a solid onscreen lover before Prince Harry charmed his way through. Yes, before Harry was Mike Ross aka Patrick J. Adams from the superhit legal drama Suits. The co-stars, who featured on the show since season 1, were adored by millions at the time. Their chemistry was unmissable and their love track on the show kept many hooked on to it. However, Meghan decided to call quits on her acting career when her marriage with Prince Harry became official. Along with Meghan, the team also decided to bring Mike's character to an end. 

If you are an ardent fan of Suits, you would know that the show creatives decided to write them out together by sending them to Seattle following their long-delayed wedding. Suits is now inching closer towards its final episodes of the finale season and makers of the show decided it would be great to bring back characters or at least drop references to the one's who have left. And the Duchess of Sussex was on the top of that list.

While you must have heard about Mike Ross giving an update about Rachel when he returned to NYC, there might be another reference to Meghan in the episode's title. When asked about how Rachel was, Mike quipped, "Good. In fact, if I told you how good, you probably wouldn’t believe me," giving a nod to her life as a British Royal now. 

Another subtle reference was the same episode's title named 'If The Shoe Fits'. While it was justified with Louis and Sheila fighting over a USD 5,000 glass slipper, it could have also been easily interpreted as a nod to Markle's whirlwind romance with Prince Harry and her new life as a princess.

The final season of Suits is currently underway and it will be interesting to see if the makers drop any more references about the Duchess of Sussex.
