It's hard to believe that Game of Thrones reached its end, several weeks ago. The larger-than-life fantasy drama was considered as one of the best shows to be made not just in this decade, but pretty much ever! While GOT fans were angry with how the iconic series ended, they are still suffering from withdrawal symptoms because the show is over. However, for some good news, George R.R. Martin himself confirmed that five Game of Thrones prequels were being planned, with the first already in its filming stage.

Tentatively titled Bloodmoon, the prequel stars Naomi Watts, Josh Whitehouse, Miranda Richardson, Jamie Campbell Bower, Toby Regbo and Georgie Henley. A while back, the prequel began shooting in Belfast, Northen Ireland. According to Il Messaggero and HNEntertainment, filming will next take place in Italy. While the shoot in Belfast will be completed by July 10, 2019, the shoot in Italy will commence shortly after, in mid-July. Jane Goldman is showrunning as well as writing Bloodmoon and S.J. Clarkson has the task of directing the pilot.

Recently, when Associated Press asked Naomi about Bloodmoon, the actress revealed, "It's scary but hopefully those fans come along and get to find something new and interesting in this world as well. I don't think they will be let down. It's a great team of people they have put together."

Meanwhile, Game of Thrones will be heading to Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con, one last time, to say goodbye and pay tribute to the legendary series. Expected cast members include Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Maisie Williams.
