Avengers: Endgame ended the arc for several OG Avengers. Rumour has it, Marvel Studios is planning an Avengers 5.
Avengers: Endgame is a massive success. The movie is the second highest grossing movie in the world today and is inching towards beating Avatar to attain the top spot. The Marvel movie works brought together almost all the characters in the Avengers universe and ended the arcs of several original Avengers. While it is still unclear what the future of Marvel Cinematic Universe looks like, a rumour is doing the rounds suggesting that Marvel Studios is planning another Avengers movie.
A Reddit user by the handle TheMarvelScoopMaster claims that there is another Avengers movie in the pipeline. The user, who recently leaked information on Captain Marvel 2, assured fans that Avengers 5 is happening. The information was revealed when a Reddit user asked the handle if there would be another Avengers movie in the future. The leaker said, "There will be a 5th Avengers." When prompted about who will feature in the new Avengers movie, the user couldn't provide much insight. However, the user did reveal that the movie is slated for a July 2022 release.
Based on the recently leaked information on Marvel Studios' plans for Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 4 and more, the studio is planning on bringing two new Avengers stories to the big screen. The leak had revealed Young Avengers and Dark Avengers. It could either be one of these movies or MCU could set up a new line based on the surviving Avengers to announce the new batch. Either way, we'll know more about in only at the San Deigo Comic Con. Kevin Feige is expected to take over Hall H at SDCC and make announcements about MCU's future.
As of now, we know that Doctor Strange 2, Black Panther 2 and Black Widow movie is in the works. The first Marvel movie to release post the Avengers: Endgame is Spider-Man: Far From Home, featuring Tom Holland. The actor reprises the role of Peter Parker for the July release.
