Ad Astra LA Premiere: Brad Pitt is a mesmerising sight on the red carpet; CHECK PHOTOS

Brad Pitt is currently gearing up for the release of his next 2019 release, post the critically acclaimed and commercially successful Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, James Gray's directorial Ad Astra. Also starring Tommy Lee Jones, Ruth Negga, Liv Tyler and Donald Sutherland, Ad Astra sees Brad as astronaut Clifford McBride, who travels to space looking for his missing father. The film recently premiered at the 76th Venice Film Festival and has been receiving rave reviews. Pitt, in paticular, has been praised for his stellar act.

After the Tokyo and Washington premieres of Ad Astra, the 55-year-old actor made an appearance on the red carpet of the LA premiere. For the premiere, Brad opted for a semi-formal look and we're absolutely swooning! The actor opted for a dark blue polo-neck sweater, which was paired with black trousers and a black jacket, along with black shoes. Brad was in kindred spirits as he was all smiles on the red carpet and posed for the paparazzi.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Brad was asked about the Oscar buzz surrounding him to which, the actor shared, "Oh, man. I’m gonna abstain. I mean, you never know, and it’s really nice when your number comes up. But the goal is for the film to land, to speak to someone whether it’s now or a decade from now. I find chasing it actually a disservice to the purity of your telling a story and a shackling thing to focus on."

Ad Astra is slated to release in the US on September 20, 2019.
