10 Years of The Vampire Diaries: Nina Dobrev shares throwback snaps with Ian Somerhalder & Paul Wesley
Nina Dobrev, who played Elena Gilbert in the hugely popular show, The Vampire Diaries, commemorated 10 years since the series first premiered on Instagram. The actress shared throwback pictures with both Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley. Check out the photos below.
10 years ago, we were first introduced to the dangerous lands of Mystic Falls where vampires and werewolves exist! We were also welcomed into the world of the lead protagonist Elena Gilbert, played by Nina Dobrev, along with the ravishingly handsome Salvatore brothers - Damon and Stefan, portrayed by Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley. Just like the Twilight mania swept across the world, so did the fever of The Vampire Diaries. The TVD fandom was either Team Delena or Team Stelena. For eight glorious years, The Vampire Diairies became the guilty pleasure show for teenagers!
To commemorate the series, Nina took to her Instagram page to share some throwback posters, behind-the-scenes photos and selfies from the sets of TVD. Most of them feature Ian and Paul in them and we're immediately taken back to 10 years ago, where it all began. According to Nina's caption, she can't believe that it has already been 10 years since the series premiered that ultimately made her a household name. Our favourite ones in paticular were the BTS snaps which had the Salvatore brothers in their vampire modes.

Meanwhile, Wesley took to the comments section for one of Nina's IG posts and wrote, "Why have I never seen this photo and why are we sitting in scattered debris/ what’s up with Ian’s pose."

We've definitely come a long way since Nina and Ian's real-life dating and breakup days as well as knowing the fact that Dobrev and Paul used to hate each other in the beginning few seasons but are now the closest of friends!
