Its owner, a flamboyant director himself, has quietly sought assistance from a friend"a former television honcho turned entrepreneur"who will be bailing him out with a sizeable investment. One flop after another is the reason, especially since the films are known for their designer clothes, foreign locales and supersized candyfloss gloss.
