K-fans, do you remember how Kim Jung Hyun's character, Kang Dong Gu sings an emotional and heartbreaking song, mourning his break up with his girlfriend Min Soo Ah in Welcome to Waikiki? Well, seems like the actor is set to lend his beautiful vocals again as the much-loved and appreciated drama, Mr Queen is all set to bid adieu to fans this weekend.
According to a report carried out by Osen via Soompi, Big Ocean ENM officially announced that the Mr Queen star would be personally contributing to the drama’s soundtrack. Kim Jung Hyun will be singing the emotional and heart-wrenching ballad Like The First Snow for Mr Queen's official soundtrack. That's not all; the actor is said to have personally penned the lyrics of the song too. The lyrics of the emotional ballad express the desperate feelings of a man who wants to be with someone during the first snowfall. K-Fans know the romantic significance and symbolism attached to the first snowfall, as depicted in Korean dramas.
Mr Queen is a gender-bender saeguk about a man from the modern era, whose soul gets trapped in the Joseon Queen's body. Kim Jung Hyun plays King Cheoljong, the ruling monarch of the kingdom and Shin Hye Sun stars as Kim So Yong, the Joseon queen who has the soul of Blue House chef Jang Bong Hwan trapped inside her. Like The First Snow is set to release on February 17 along with the physical copy of Mr Queen's official soundtrack.
