2021 is already looking like an incredibly promising year for novel concepts and themes in K-Pop. While we’re already excited about some of the biggest names like Song Joon Ki’s Vincenzo and Park Shin Hye’s Sisyphus: The Myth set to air a good while later and with True Beauty and Mr Queen coming to a close, here are some K-Dramas starting today that you should immediately put on your watch list.

Two major Korean dramas starting today, on Feb 1, 2021 are L.U.C.A : The Beginning and Love Scene Number. L.U.C.A : The Beginning stars Kim Rae Won as Ji Oh and Lee Da Hee as Goo Reum from the Sky. The story revolves around Ji Oh, born extraordinarily strong and thrust unprepared into a strange world of genetics. He has a secret which is undisclosed to even his own self and as he tries to figure himself out, he is chased by mysterious figures out to get him. The predominant themes of this drama are crime, mystery and thriller. If that sounds like your taste, L.U.C.A : The Beginning is definitely the drama for you.

Love Scene Number is a short form drama with only 8 episodes, perfect for fans who are looking for a quick binge at the end of the day. This bite-sized format caters to fans’ need for a daily dose of K-Drama loveliness and follows 4 women, 23-year-old Nam Doo Ah (Kim Bo Ra), 29-year-old Lee Ha Ram (Sim Eun Woo), 35-year-old Yoon Ban Ya (Ryu Hwa Young), and 42-year-old Jung Chung Kyung (Park Jin Hee) who are at the turning point in their lives, albeit in strikingly different age groups. The drama explores how these protagonists navigate their confusing love lives while also dealing with their own core morals and values. While the format of the drama is enough to draw K-Drama fans in, the cast is a whole other bonus altogether.

Don’t forget to tune in and let us know if you’ll be watching these dramas through to the end!
