The Falcon & The Winter Soldier: Kevin Feige reveals why Marvel's much anticipated show has only 6 episodes
Anthony Mackie and Sebastien Stan's show The Falcon & The Winter Soldier will release in March and as always Marvel fans are ecstatic about their arrival.
Marvel and Disney Plus came together to give us WandaVision earlier this year and as it nears conclusion, Marvel is gearing up to drop a brand new series a few days later. For the unversed, Anthony Mackie and Sebastien Stan's show The Falcon & The Winter Soldier will release in March and as always Marvel fans are ecstatic about their arrival. Bringing to screen a piece of the expansive Marvel universe, Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes' glimpses have sent fans into a frenzy.
However, the downside, is that fans will only be getting six episodes with Sam and Bucky. When asked about the same, Marvel boss Kevin Feige revealed that they felt six hours was enough to tell their stories. At his first Disney/Marvel’s first TCA, Kevin Feige said, " “Anthony Mackie and Sebastien Stan are spectacular actors which we felt we had to explore their stories and their backstories, or personal stories, enough as Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes. So it was always the thought we’d like to learn more about both of them."
Adding that Disney Plus gave Marvel the opportunity to tell these stories. "Six hours is what we landed on as the best way to tell our story. Six hours, whether it’s six episodes, or nine shorter episodes like WandaVision. The shows aren’t inexpensive, so the per-episode cost is very high and to get that bar I was talking about,” Kevin Feige added.
