EXCLUSIVE: Tara Sutaria signed opposite Shahid Kapoor for the remake of Arjun Reddy
Sources have confirmed to us that leading lady in the remake of Shahid Kapoor starrer Arjun Reddy remake will be Tara Sutaria, who will be making her Bollywood debut with Student of the Year 2.
After speculations about the film’s hero, the makers announced recently that Shahid Kapoor has been signed on to play the titular character in the remake of Arjun Reddy. The plot of the film revolves around a medical student and how he falls for her junior.
About the film, a source had earlier informed Mumbai Mirror, “The film is scheduled to go on the floors in July and the team is looking for an actress opposite Shahid at the moment. While the locations are yet to be finalised, the plan is to shoot in India as well as abroad."
Sources have confirmed to us that the film’s leading lady will be Tara Sutaria, who will be making her Bollywood debut with Student of the Year 2. Tara has been shooting for the film in Dehradun with Tiger Shroff and Ananya Pandey.
Tara’s debut film will hit the theatres on November 23, 2018. Even before the release of her first film, Tara has already bagged her second film.
About the film, a source had also earlier told Mumbai Mirror, “It follows Arjun’s anger issues after he suffers a heartbreak. The film was widely acclaimed and earned cult status in Telangana. Now, the premise will be adapted to a North Indian setting."
Shahid Kapoor shared on his social media page that he is a part of the film by sharing a selfie with producers Murad Khetani, Ashwin Varde and director Sandeep Vanga. He posted, “Team ARJUN REDDY is READY ! Here we go. Wish us luck guys. @imvangasandeep @MuradKhetani @ashwinvarde".
