EXCLUSIVE: Sushant Singh Rajput on opting out of RAW - I love Bunty Walia but it won't stop people from forming opinions
Sushant Singh Rajput EXCLUSIVELY told us that RAW's co-producer is a dear friend and that nothing can stop people from forming opinions.
The first look of Sushant Singh Rajput-starrer Romeo Akbar Walter was launched amid much fanfare earlier this year. And then there were reports that the film might get shelved, but makers denied those rumours. And not long ago, Sushant himself said he has opted out of the film.
In an interview to a leading tabloid, Sushant earlier confirmed the news and said, "Unfortunately, I will not be part of Romeo Akbar Walter due to changes in my prior commitments. I wanted to be part of the project because I love the story, and believe it must be told, but, that will not happen."
Now, the co-producer Bunty Walia lashed out at the actor for leaving him in a lurch just when his film was to roll. He told a leading tabloid that they had planned to kick off on October 1 and wrap up the film by November 30 and Sushant's exit has kind of come as a shock for them.
We got in touch with Sushant to know his side of the story. He replied back to us saying, "And I don't like to justify. I love Bunty and he is a dear friend and me saying anything won't stop people from forming opinions so I would like to save my energy and concentrate on what I do best, my work."
Romeo Akbar Walter, reportedly inspired by true events, was to be directed by Robby Grewal and scheduled to release in 2018.
