Exclusive: Soni Razdan is proud of Alia Bhatt winning awards for Raazi; says she loved her dance in Kalank
In an Exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, Soni Razdan said she is proud of her daughter Alia Bhatt as she is winning awards for her performance in Raazi.
Alia Bhatt has again and again proved that she is one of the best actors we have in Bollywood now. With Highway, 2 States, Kapoor & Sons, Udta Punjab, Raazi and many such films, Alia has proved her acting prowess. Her parents Mahesh Bhatt and Soni Razdan have always expressed their happiness seeing their daughter succeed and appreciated her choices in films.
Last year, Soni Razdan and Alia Bhatt shared the screenspace for the first time in Raazi. The duo played on screen mother-daugthter in the film. Alia had impressed the critics and the audience with her performance in Raazi. Recently, the actor won Filmfare Best Actor Award (Popular) and REEL Best Actress award for her performance in Raazi. In an EXCLUSIVE interview with Pinkvilla, we asked Soni Razdan her reaction to Alia's success and her awards and the big films her daughter has a line up of.
Soni told Pinkvilla, "Very excited for her and very proud of her. I am happy that she has got those wonderful big projects. Very happy for her."
Alia Bhatt will be seen in Abhishek Varman's Kalank. For Kalank, Alia Bhatt was seen doing Kathak for the first time. Her fans loved seeing her doing something she has never done before. We asked Soni what are her thoughts about Alia's performance in Ghar More Pardesiya.
With a bright smile, Soni answered, "I thought she was outstanding in it. It is very nicely done and I really enjoyed the dance. She has worked hard for it."
On the work front, Soni Razdan will be seen in Ashvin Kumar's No Fathers in Kashmir. The film will hit the screens on April 5, 2019.
