EXCLUSIVE: Sanju Box Office Prediction: How much will the Ranbir Kapoor film earn on day 2?
Ranbir Kapoor starrer Sanju has hit the screens and has opened to massive numbers on Day 1. We got in touch with trade expert Akshaye Rathi and asked about the prediction for day 2.
Ranbir Kapoor starrer Sanju has created a stir at the box office as it has minted Rs 34.75 crore at the box office. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor as Sanjay, and Paresh Rawal as his father, veteran actor Sunil Dutt, while the rest of the cast is filled out by Vicky Kaushal, Manisha Koirala, Dia Mirza, Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor, Jim Sarbh and Boman Irani.
The film has opened to positive reviews. Both critics and viewers have been appreciating the performances. Going by the day 2 prediction, the film will continue its strong hold at the box office.
We got in touch with Trade Expert Akshaye Rathi to tell us the hype of the movie and how much will it earn on Day 2.
He told us, "The fact that it has opened to big capacities and today is working Saturday for many people - I am expecting around Rs 30 crore. Tomorrow (Sunday), I believe it will go ballistic and might touch the figure of late 30s and can also be Rs 40 crore."
"It's incredibly brave of Rajkumar Hirani to take up a subject that many would have dared to venture around and take a star (Ranbir Kapoor) who has had a mixed track record and then be able to deliver a non-holiday opening of 34.7 crore. It speaks volumes about the credibility of that man. With Ranbir, there has been Barfi and Tamasha - but you also have Besharam. There was never any doubt on his acting skills - he is one of the best that we have. What went wrong with Ranbir was the choice of film and now with Sanju, it's Ranbir 2.0. Now, he is showing what a star he can be. He has an interesting line up and now he is harnessing the fact that he can be a bankable actors. If he continues to do, he will be one of biggest stars of the era," added Akshaye.
