Exclusive: Salman Khan & Katrina Kaif starrer to collect around Rs 40 crore on 1st day, early estimates out
The much awaited movie Bharat starring Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Disha Patani, Tabu, Jackie Shroff and Sunil Grover has finally been released today. According to various sources, the movie has done good business on the very first day of its release and is almost about to collect Rs 40 crore.
The much awaited Salman Khan starrer Bharat has been released in the theatres today. The movie has created a lot of buzz among the Salman Khan fans as well as the media ever since the release of its trailer. According to various sources, the movie has done good business on the first day of its release. The movie has been released across 4700 screens in India and 1300 screens abroad. As per early estimates, if the movie is able to sail through the World Cup fervour in the night shows, it will be able to reach 42 - 43 crores today itself. It can be said that the movie is almost about to collect Rs 40 crore on the very day of its release!
Manoj Desai, owner of G7 cinemas which include single screens such as Maratha Mandir and Gaiety Galaxy quotes, ''all the shows at all my screens are full for today and tomorrow. People are enjoying it on Eid. It looks like it will definitely hit 40 crores today. But it needs to be seen how it fares post Thursday in terms of booking." If this happens, then the movie will make for one of Salman Khan's highest releases. Initially, it was estimated that the collections of the movie may get affected if they are slowed down by the World Cup match, but now, it seems like Salman has spread his magic on his fans once again.

According to sources, although with the ongoing World Cup, the day 1 record of Bharat looks difficult, it still has the chances to have one of the highest collections for a Salman Khan movie. As per sources, because of its emotional quotient, the movie will attract more family audiences who are expected to come in huge numbers for late night shows which begin post 9 pm. However, the estimates of this upturn will be clear only after 11 pm tonight.
The movie Bharat stars Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Disha Patani, Tabu, Jackie Shroff and Sunil Grover in the lead roles. The movie which has been directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, happens to be a remake of the 2014 South Korean movie, Ode To My Father.
