EXCLUSIVE: Remo D'Souza reveals why Shraddha Kapoor was an apt replacement for Katrina Kaif in Street Dancer
Katrina Kaif was supposed to work with Varun Dhawan in Remo D'Souza's Street Dancer. However, due to date issues, Kat opted out of the film. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Remo told us why he thought Shraddha Kapoor is an apt replacement for Katrina.
Last year, when the news came out that Katrina Kaif will be working with Varun Dhawan in Remo D'Souza's dance film Street Dancer, everyone got excited. However, a few months later, Kat walked out of the film and was replaced by Shraddha Kapoor. Kat and Varun fans were quite disheartened as they thought they'll finally get to see the duo together on screen.
However, when the makers announced that Shraddha will be playing the lead role, the audience was happy as she had worked with Varun earlier in ABCD 2. Shraddha and Varun's ABCD 2 was a super hit and they amazed everyone with their chemistry and dance. In an EXCLUSIVE interaction with Pinkvilla, we asked Remo D'Souza why he thought Shraddha Kapoor was an apt choice and replacement for Katrina Kaif.
Remo told us, "We wanted Katrina Kaif, but the date issue happened as Bharat came in line. We were starting the film and that's how we had to change the female lead. Then we got Shraddha and it's great as we have worked together. She also knows about how we work as we have worked earlier. Whatever happens, happens for good."

When we asked the director how much Varun and Shraddha have improved as dancers compared to ABCD, he told us that they have worked very hard. The ABCD director also said that in Street Dancer, Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor will have to do better than ABCD 2.
Street Dancer also stars Prabhu Dheva and Nora Fatehi in pivotal roles. The film will hit the screens on November 8, 2019.
