EXCLUSIVE - Rajkumar Hirani on Anushka Sharma's look in Sanju: She asked 'Sir, you don't like my hair'
During an EXCLUSIVE interaction with Pinkvilla, Rajkumar Hirani revealed Anushka Sharma's reaction to her look in the upcoming film, Sanju. In the film, Anushka will be seen playing the role of a biographer.
Rajkumar Hirani's directorial titled Sanju has an ensemble cast which comprises of Ranbir Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Vicky Kaushal, Boman Irani and Jim Sarbh. The film chronicles the ups and downs of Sanjay Dutt from his debut film Rocky till his jail term until a few years back.
In the film, Anushka plays the role of a biographer while Hirani revealed that she plays him and Abhijat Joshi combined. In the poster and the trailer, we got a glimpse of Anushka and her hairstyle instantly became a topic of discussion.
People started questioning Rajkumar about his hairdo choice for Anushka and even started creating memes around her look.
During an EXCLUSIVE interaction with Pinkvilla, when Rajkumar was asked about giving Anushka a different look, he stated, "She is playing a biographer who comes from London. I wanted to give her a look where she looks like an Indian who stayed in London and brought up there."
He further said, "I always like to play with the looks of the characters, in every film that I do."
When asked about Anushka's reaction to her look, Hirani said, "In fact, Anushka used to joke with me saying that, 'Sir, you don't like my hair, that's why you keep putting this wigs on my head.'"
He concluded by saying, "I think she looks really cute!"
