Ranveer Singh has been on roll post the success of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat. Ranveer has made a mark in the industry in these eight years. He made his debut with 2010 film Band Baaja Baaraat. The film also marked the directorial debut of Maneesh Sharma. From Band Baaja Baaraat to Padmaavat, Ranveer Singh has come a long way in his cinematic career. If reports are to believed, Ranveer may reunite with his Band Baaja Baaraat and Ladies vs Ricky Bahl director Maneesh Sharma for a musical drama which is also a love story. The movie is expected to go on floors in June 2019.
We recently got to meet Maneesh Sharma as he is one of the producers of Sui Dhaaga. We asked him about these reports and well, he indirectly laughed it off but didn't really deny them per se. He told us, "Just recently, someone asked me that I am making Dhoom 4 and how's it going. I am actually waiting for someone to tell me which third film I am making. I am not saying anything and I am working on scripts. Currently, it feels like that I am working on many film with big stars." That's a witty way of responding to a query. If the reports are TRUE, then it would be nice to see the two collaborate again.
Ranveer will play a musician in the film and as per reports Maneesh is in the process of completing the script for the untitled film. The actor has a busy year ahead with the big budget action blockbuster Simbaa by Rohit Shetty and Zoya Akhtar’s street rap inspired Gully Boy set to release in February next year.
He will soon begin shooting for 83 which chronicles the prestigious 1983 cricket World Cup victory for India. He will be playing the role of Kapil Dev in Kabir Khan's directorial. The film is slated to release on August 30, 2019.
