Shahid Kapoor is busy prepping for Shree Narayan Singh's next venture Batti Gul Meter Chalu. A lot has been said about the leading lady of the film.
Earlier, there were reports that Katrina Kaif has been approached for the film and it was because of her tight-packed schedule, she couldn't step in. At an event yesterday, Shahid said, "No heroine has been decided for that film yet. Once it's finalised I'll let you know."
Just today, the reports came that Shraddha Kapoor might be a part of the film. A source told a leading tabloid, "Negotiations with Shraddha are on. She is yet to give her nod. But, she should be able to work on it."
When we got in touch with director Shree Narayan Singh, he dismissed all the reports and said, "I have met a lot of people. You know we are still at the scripting stage and till the script is not ready, how can I say who will play the role. So, the role of the leading lady in the film is really important as the film is set in a different place and has a different language. Yes, I am meeting everybody, I mean the names which have been popped up."
Singh had earlier said, "I am thrilled to begin work on Batti Gul in Uttarakhand. There is a different vibe here which keeps bringing me back to this beautiful state. Showing a new side to it will be a big challenge."
