Ranveer Singh to star in the Temper remake being directed by Rohit Shetty.
Ranveer Singh is all set to star in a Rohit Shetty film. The film is the official Hindi remake of the Telugu hit film Temper which starred N. T. Rama Rao Jr and Kajal Aggarwal and was directed by Puri Jagannadh.
There were several reports making the rounds that Katrina Kaif or Jahnvi Kapoor might play the female lead in the film. A few months back when we had asked Rohit about the same, he stated, "I am shooting in Hyderabad, I don't know where this story has started coming from. Nobody has been approached for the role as of now. I am busy with Golmaal Again and we are simultaneously working on the Temper remake. We won't be approaching anyone until December and any news before that is fake."
During a recent EXCLUSIVE interaction with PINKVILLA, Rohit was again quizzed about the same to which he refuted the rumours saying, "No, we have not finalised anyone. We are still writing the final draft. I think we will decide on the female lead only in December or maybe in January."
Well, that puts an end to all the rumours!
Talking about the movie with a leading tabloid, Rohit said, "The script is best suited for Ranveer. It is an out-and-out action masala entertainer, a kind that he hasn’t attempted before. We will include amazing action sequences, and given the kind of energy an enthusiasm that Ranveer has, I’m sure he’ll do justice to the part."
"Around 20 percent of the original story will be retained; the rest will be amended to suit our audience. We will start rolling next year," Rohit added.
