EXCLUSIVE: Kartik Aaryan on IAF Wing Commander Abhinandan's release: We are really proud of him
As a part of peace gesture, the Government of Pakistan is now releasing IAF Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman tomorrow. We got in touch with Kartik Aaryan to know his reaction on Wing Commander Abhinandan's release.
India and Pakistan’s conflict history is not unknown to us and it escalated yesterday when IAF Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman was captured by the Pakistani army. Soon, the videos of him in their custody went viral, #BringBackAbhinandan started trending on Twitter. From common people to Bollywood celebs, everyone wanted his safe return and retaliated the idea of war. Now, as a peace gesture, the Pakistan Government will release him tomorrow. Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, in a statement said, “As a peace gesture we are releasing Wing Commander Abhinandan tomorrow.”
We got in touch with Kartik Aaryan to know his reaction on IAF Wing Commander Abhinandan's release. He told us, “We are really proud of Abhinandan and the kind of dignity he showed. I, as a citizen, can say that he has made us really proud. It is happy news for all and for both the countries.” It’s a great news for all of us and India is all ready to welcome their commander back.
Their PM Imran Khan urged India not to escalate the situation. “Don’t take this any further, Pakistan will be forced to retaliate. I hope the international community will play its part to ensure the situation does not escalate beyond this,” he said.
