Salman Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali are reuniting after many years for a film which will certainly go on floors, next year.  It is learnt that the technicians have been told to keep themselves free from February 2019 for the pre-production of the film.

Bhansali is currently giving the final touches to the subject and Salman has just begun shooting for Ali Abbas Zafar's directorial, Bharat. The actor will complete Bharat by the end of this year and the film is slated for release on Eid 2019 i.e. June 5, 2019. Bharat also stars Jackie Shroff, Tabu, Disha Patani, Sunil Grover and Nora Fatehi, in pivotal roles. Priyanka Chopra recently stepped away from the film and Katrina Kaif may replace the actress and play Salman's wife.

There is a chance that Dabangg 3 may get pushed even further and the actor may start with Bhansali's film first and look at an Eid 2020 release.

Salman Khan was the hero of Bhansali's directorial debut Khamoshi: The Musical (1996) also starring Manisha Koirala and Nana Patekar. The actor-director duo later went on to do two more films namely,  Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999) also starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Ajay Devgn and Saawariya (2007) also starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor and Rani Mukerji. Salman was also the original Bajirao for Bhansali with Kareena Kapoor as his costar in Bajirao Mastani. Eventually, the role went on to Ranveer Singh.
