EXCLUSIVE - Dinesh Vijan says Hindi Medium is about Irrfan Khan; sequel will be announced soon
Producer Dinesh Vijan, in an EXCLUSIVE interaction with Pinkvilla, opened up about Irrfan Khan and Hindi Medium sequel being on the cards.
Irrfan Khan is one of the finest actors we have in the Indian film industry. He moulds himself perfectly in any character he's been offered. From playing a vicious villain to doing straight face comedy, Khan nails it perfectly. And that's why he is considered as one of the most versatile actors. His performance in his last film Karwaan left the audience in splits. As he is currently seeking treatment in London, the audience will have to wait for him to make a comeback on the big screen soon.
Recently, there were reports that after completing his treatment, Irrfan will return to Bollywood with Shoojit Sircar's Uddham Singh biopic. The shooting for the same will kickstart next year. However, earlier there were reports that he will be making a comeback with a sequel to his 2017 hit Hindi Medium. After the news of him doing Uddham Singh biopic came out, there were rumours that Hindi Medium's sequel is shelved. When Pinkvilla spoke to the film's producer Dinesh Vijan, he gave us a positive response.
When asked the Uddham Singh biopic being on the cards and Hindi Medium being shelved, Dinesh answered, "I don't know about that actually. Irrfan is a friend. There has been so much speculation, Hindi Medium has got so much love. But you have to wait for an official announcement to know what we are doing. He is doing well and he is recovering well and we all wish for his speedy recovery. Once he is well, we will decide what is what."
The producer added, "Hindi Medium is about Irrfan Khan. But right now, priority is his health. Then we will announce."
Well, at least we know that Irrfan Khan is definitely a part of Hindi Medium 2. We can't wait for the actor to get well soon as we miss him watching on the screen.
