EXCLUSIVE - Diljit Dosanjh: I am ready to work with anyone who wants to work with me
Diljit Dosanjh will be seen in a comedy film Welcome To New York along with Karan Johar, Sonakshi Sinha, Boman Irani, Riteish Deshmukh and Lara Dutta. The actor in an EXCLUSIVE interview with Pinkvilla said that he is open to working with anyone who wants to work with him.
Diljit Dosanjh is busy promoting his upcoming film Welcome To New York. The film also stars Karan Johar, Sonakshi Sinha, Boman Irani, Riteish Deshmukh and Lara Dutta in vital roles.
In an EXCLUSIVE interview with Pinkvilla, when the actor was asked what kind of roles he wants to do and does he wish to work in a Karan Johar's movie, he told us, "Main har uss shaqs ke saath kaam karna chahunga jo mere saath mere saath kaam karna chahta hai. Toh aise maine desire kabhi nahi rakhi ke main uss bande ke saath kaam karna chahta hoon. Jo bhi shaqs mere saath kaam karna chahta hai main uske saath kaam karna chahunga. (I am ready to work with anyone who wants to work with me. I never desired to work with anyone in particular. Anyone who would like to work with me, I will work with the person)."
Diljit has acted in two Bollywood films - Udta Punjab and Phillauri. Both the roles in these films were different from each other. Even in Welcome To New York, he is playing a funny character, which is different than his previous Hindi films. When the actor-singer was asked if he loves experimenting, he said, "Naye naye experiments karte rehta hoon main. Yeh bhi ussi experience mein se ek hai. Abhi aisa decide hua toh nahi ke main kaisa kalaakar hoon aur mujhe kaisi filmein karni chahiye. Toh jab tak nahi decide hota tab tak maze le leta hoon. Jab decide ho jayega tab decided wale role karunga. (I keep doing new experiments. This is also an experience. It's not yet decided what kind of artist I am and what kind of film I am supposed to do. So, I'll enjoy until it's decided)."
When the Punjabi superstar was asked is there any list of Bollywood directors he wishes to work with, he answered, "Jo mil jaaye wo kar lunga ji. Aisa koi plan nahi hai. Meri wishlist nahi hai. (I will work on what I get. I don't have a plan, I don't have any wishlist)."
Welcome To New York is directed by Chakri Toleti and produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Deepshika Deshmukh, Jacky Bhagnani, Andre Timmins, Viraf Sarkari and Sabbas Joseph. The film is slated to release on February 23, 2018.
