EXCLUSIVE: Christopher Nolan to film Tenet in Mumbai's Colaba Causeway during THIS time
Christopher Nolan is coming to India next month. The ace filmmaker will be filming a portion of Tenet in South Mumbai, including Colaba Causeway. The international film stars Robert Pattinson, John David Washington, Elizabeth Debicki, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Clemence Poesy, Kenneth Branagh and Michael Caine.
It is no secret that Christopher Nolan is coming to town. Yes, the acclaimed international filmmaker behind Oscar-winning movies like Dark Knight and Inception will be in Mumbai next month to film a scene for his upcoming movie, Tenet. The Hollywood movie sees Bollywood actress Dimple Kapadia sharing screen space with new Batman actor Robert Pattinson, John David Washington, and Elizabeth Debicki. Earlier this summer, it was confirmed that a major chase sequence will be filmed in South Mumbai, around the Gateway of India, Taj Mahal hotel and the Colaba Market.
Now, Pinkvilla hears that a portion of the Causeway market will be closed down for a day next month. While the date is still unknown, we do know that the market will be closed during the day for a few hours to shoot a portion of the film. The director and his team are expected to film in the bustling market space sometime between 8 AM and 2 PM next month. "A film shoot is scheduled to take place next month. We've been told that it is set to take place in the first half of the day next month," a source told Pinkvilla. We also spotted an Indian team from the movie prepping the street for the shoot, earlier this week.
Given that it was already revealed that it is a chase sequence, we wouldn't be surprised to see the cast members running around the picturesque location of Colaba. This isn't the first time the filmmaker will be filming in India. He previously was in the country to film Dark Knight.
As for Tenet, Nolan has kept the script under tight wraps, the brief synopsis describes Tenet as “an action epic evolving from the world of international espionage.” Nolan has already begun filming for Tenet. Pattinson and Washington were spotted in Estonia a few weeks ago. Kapadia, too, was spotted with Nolan in between takes in Estonia.
