EXCLUSIVE - Anil Kapoor on playing Salman Khan's father in Race 3: I wish I was, that's NOT true
Anil Kapoor will NOT play Salman Khan's onscreen father in Race 3.
Race 3 without Anil Kapoor's tadka would been a plate of Butter Chicken but with NO spices added to it. The film stars Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah, Bobby Deol and Saqib Saleem and will be directed by Remo D'Souza. It's surely one of the anticipated movies of the year 2018.
Salman confirmed the news that Anil is indeed a part of Race 3 by sharing a candid picture with him and producer Ramesh Taurani. Salman tweeted the picture stating, "Inke Aane se Race3 ka cast aur ho gaya jhakas @AnilKapoor @RameshTaurani #Race3."
Today, a report in a leading tabloid claimed that Anil will play Salman's on-screen father in Race 3 and would be the head of the family. To confirm the report, we got in touch with Anil Kapoor and well, he denied it saying, "I wish I was, that’s not true. But as an actor I am even open to playing Amitabh Bachchan saab’s father or Ranveer Singh’s brother."
Talking about Anil, a source earlier said to a leading daily, "Anil had played Robert D’Costa aka RD, a private detective, who acts stupid but is very sharp, resourceful and quick. Anil’s character was liked immensely by the audience. The first movie had Sameera Reddy playing his assistant, while the second film saw Ameesha Patel in the role."
The source further said, "If Anil comes on board, he will be the only cast member to be a part of all three films of the Race series. Also, this will be the actor’s first film with choreographer-turned-director Remo."
