Contrary to reports, 'ALL IZZ WELL' between Ranbir Kapoor and Rajkumar Hirani
The reports of Ranbir Kapoor being unhappy with Rajkumar Hirani are false.
Ranbir Kapoor and Rajkumar Hirani have collaborated for a much-awaited film based on Sanjay Dutt's life. Fans have been desperately wanting to see Sanjay's story and his version of all the incidents that have affected his life. Yesterday, there came the reports that Ranbir is a little unhappy with Rajkumar's outlook of the movie.
A source told a leading daily, "Ranbir felt that since it was a biopic, the film would be centred around him. But then that’s not how Rajkumar Hirani makes his film. His movies make for good entertainment, and come with a message. That’s perhaps why Ranbir isn’t able to understand why the film moves into the lives of other people in the story, when the movie is actually about Sanjay Dutt, whose character he essays."
Now, we got in touch with one of the trade sources who has a different angle to the story. Our source dismissed these reports calling them baseless rumours and said all is well between Ranbir and Rajkumar Hirani.
In an earlier interview, when asked how different it was working with the 34-year-old actor, Rajkumar Hirani did not hesitate to praise the actor and said, "The only thing I can say is Ranbir, who is depicting Sanjay Dutt from the age of 20 to 55, has a lot of different get-ups. He has to wake up at 3 AM and then has to sit patiently for 5 hours for his make-up and then work rigorously for 12 hours."
"I have never seen Ranbir coming late to the set on a single day or complaining about anything or giving excuses to leave from work. I am having absolute joy and I am really enjoying making this film. It is a pure joy to make films, if we have actors like Ranbir Kapoor," he added.
