Bollywood celebs are in festive mood on the occasion of Eid.  It's a tradition wrapped in emotions and nostalgia. Huma Qureshi, who made a mark with her debut film Gangs Of Wasseypur, got candid with us and shared her fondest memory of the festival.

Walking down the memory lane, Huma told us, "Well, Eid is very special for us and we celebrate it in a special way every year in our family. The fondest memory of Eid is of when I was a child when we used to go to our Dadi's place in Nizamuddin in Delhi and me, my dad, his brothers and all our cousins used to meet and celebrate it together. We all were young and we used to wait in anticipation when everyone will come back from Eid namaz and give us Eidi and that was a big thrill for all of us."

Huma makes it a point that ever year she spends this day with her family and this year is no different. Her father and mother have come to meet their daughter in Mumbai. On these lines, Huma said, "Eid is always special no matter where I am either Delhi or Mumbai it is definitely family time. I make sure at least this day I am with my family, extended family and friends."

If it's about Eid, Eidi is something that you can miss out. Elders in the family give Eidi, or gifts, to younger family members and friends. Talking about this age long tradition, Huma in an excited tone, said, "Eid pe Eidi toh milti and Eidi is a very special token from my mum and dad every single year. I demand it from them and it's a long old tradition in our family to give Eidi in form of money or a gift."

How about celebrating it with B-Town friends? Well, her answer was straight and simple - "Friends are friends no matter what field they are from. Saqib and my friends come home and they always demand Biryani."

Eid ul-Fitr is popularly also called 'Sweet Eid or Meethi Eid'. What special dishes does Huma make on the day? Huma, replying to us, said, "This Eid is called Meethi Eid - Sheer Khurma is very important but it doesn't mean that it's only going to be sweets. We have a lot of mutton dishes and keema korma."

Any festivity is incomplete without Bollywood songs. When we asked Huma, which song she relates to, she said, "Any song that I relate to the most on Eid is Dekho Chand Aya."

We also got in touch with Huma's brother Saqib Saleem. His fond memories are also related to his dadi's place. "We call it the Meethi Eid as you get to eat a lot of sweets like sewayian. My memory from the childhood is I remember as I am from Delhi and I used to Nizammudin to my grandmother and grandfather's house. We all cousins used for morning players and we used to stand in long queues outside the masjid and ask for Eidi from whosoever passing by and in the evening all the festivities are kind of over, all the cousins used to sit and make sure to count the money and get to know who made the most. I used to love Eid because this was the time we used to meet together."

Eid Mubarak to everyone!
