Vinod Khanna passed away on Thursday at the age of 70. Many of his co-stars from Amitabh Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor to Randhir Kapoor attended the funeral. Many Bollywood celebrities took to their social media pages to pay respect and condolences to the veteran actor.

But, only a few young actors made it to the funeral. An angry Rishi Kapoor posted a series of tweets lashing out at the actors who did not attend. He tweeted, "Shameful. Not ONE actor of this generation attended Vinod Khanna's funeral. And that too he has worked with them. Must learn to respect. Why this? Including mine and thereafter. When I die, I must be prepared. None will shoulder me. Very very angry with today's so called stars. Met so many chamcha people last night at Priyanka Chopra's do last night. Few at Vinod's. So f**** transparent. So angry with them."

Many Twitterati quizzed him about the whereabouts of his son Ranbir Kapoor who wasn't present at the funeral. To which he tweeted, "Yes it has been expressed earlier on social media my wife and Ranbir are out of the country. Would never have been a reason not to be there."

Today, in an interview with Pinkvilla, when legendary actress Asha Parekh was quizzed about Rishi Kapoor's tweets, she said, "Yes, it is true what Rishi Kapoor has said. Youngsters need to respect the veterans. People who've worked with Vinod Khanna including the producers, directors, actors should have gone for the funeral. It's very sad to know they didn't turn up."
