EXCLUSIVE - Angad Bedi on Tiger Zinda Hai: After Mr Bachchan, it's an honour to work with Salman Bhai

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif's Tiger Zinda Hai is one of the most anticipated films of 2017. The film completed its first schedule in Austria and the director Ali Abbas Zafar revealed to us that the team will soon be heading to Abu Dhabi for the shoot. 

Ali revealed that two more actors will be joining the cast in Abu Dhabi and that is Angad Bedi and Kumud Mishra. Talking about Angad, Ali stated, "There is Angad Bedi who is joining us. He has been a friend for a really long time and wanted to work with us and YRF. He gave a great audition and has a very important part to play in the movie." 

We got in touch with Angad and he excitedly said, "Yes I am very excited. For me, it is a huge honour to be a part of YRF family. It was my dream when I met Yashji (Yash Chopra) with my father quite a few years ago that my dream is to be your family and a film which is made under your banner. He said your time will come soon and one day you will walk through the premise of YRF."

The actor gave all credit to his 2016 hit film Pink. He added, "I feel after Pink my time has come. There have been a lot of appreciation for my work. Shoojit Sircar, Roni Lahiri, our producer trusted in me and gave me a break and gave me the opportunity to stand in front of Mr. Bachchan (Amitabh Bachchan). I will always be indebted for that."

When asked about getting the role in TZH, Angad replied, "Ali saw Pink as I had called him for the screening. I remember when he saw the film, he called me and said, 'Tere liye kuch hai and we will talk about it.' I didn't know that he will give me such a break with Tiger Zinda Hai." 

On working with Salman, the handsome hunk said, "After Mr. Bachchan, I am getting an opportunity to work with Salman Bhai (Salman Khan). It is a great honour, he is the biggest star at the box office. He is such a great human being. I have known his family for a while Sohail (Khan) Bhai, Arbaaz (Khan) Bhai and obviously above and beyond everybody else Salim (Khan) uncle. I met Salim uncle also after I signed the film."

He recalled a sweet memory with Salman at an event and said, "I remember I was at Zee Cine Awards and Salman Bhai was right behind me on the red carpet. He stopped everybody in his entourage and asked me, 'Tera ho gaya na, You're on! Chal I will see in Abu Dhabi'."

Angad further talked about Ali saying, "Just the fact that there has been a lot of love and affection I am part of the biggest film of the year which is going to be Tiger Zinda Hai. One to work with Ali Abbas Zafar, who has made a phenomenal film like Sultan. His box-office draw with Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and Gunday was superb."

He added, "I feel that he is one filmmaker I always wanted to work with for a simple reason. If you see the way he showcases his character is right. He fearlessly shows every character. You remember everybody in Sultan, in Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and in Gunday."

This is the first time Angad will be working with YRF. Talking about it, he said, "From me being a part of such a franchise and working with YRF, I could not ask anything more. The sky is the limit!" 

When quizzed about his role in Tiger Zinda Hai, Angad said, "I have not been given an authority right now to speak about it as yet. It's a phenomenal role, it has got a great attitude, great skills. To know more about it, please ask Ali!" 

He talked about the flick stating, "The story we know is that he (Salman) is a RAW agent and he works for the country. It is very different this time, it's on bigger issue, much bigger scale. It's realistic and something which is not yet attempted in the cinema before." 

Angad concluded by saying, "The film will be releasing on December 22 this year. So, I think everything is falling into places and I am extremely grateful."
