Katrina Kaif not approached for Aamir Khan's Thugs of Hindostan
There have been rumours that Salman Khan recommended Katrina Kaif for the movie Thugs of Hindostan. However, a source close to the actress rubbished this news.
Aamir Khan's Thugs of Hindostan has been in the news for some time now for its stellar combination of superstars Aamir and Amitabh Bachchan. Aamir himself had expressed his excitement on working with Big B for the first time. "Finally, the moment I've been waiting for has come... to work with my icon, Mr. Bachchan! Thanks Adi, Victor, for Thugs of Hindostan. I'm too thrilled to be working with the actor I have admired all of my life. Shoot starts early next year, and the release has been locked for Diwali 2018. Can't wait to get started! Fingers crossed," the actor had said.
However, the female lead of the film is not yet confirmed and hence there has been a continous speculation about who will grab this meaty role. From Aamir's protegee Fatima Sana Shaikh to Shraddha Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, rumours have been abuzz about the lucky girl who will star opposite these icons. However, there have been no confirmations from the team as of yet.
Recently, there was a buzz that Salman Khan recommended his good friend Katrina Kaif for this role. Well, while it would have been indeed interesting to watch Katrina ace this one, a source close to the actress rubbished the news.
The source mentioned to Pinkvilla, "Katrina has been busy shooting for a huge musical song for Jagga Jasoos .She is unaware of whatever is being reported. No such discussion is happening on the film that is being speculated about . Katrina has had a successful career for so many years and has always been a thorough professional . These rumors are completely untrue and in bad taste."
