Priyanka Chopra's Marathi debut production Ventilator won several accolades at the 64th National Film Awards. It went on to win - Best Editing, Best Sound Mixing and also Best Director to Rajesh Mapuskar. 

We got in touch with Priyanka's mother Madhu Chopra, who was elated with this huge news. She said, "I am very happy, it was Rajesh Mapuskar's debut and what work he has done! The subject was simple and Rajesh's way of telling the story was applauded and loved by the critics." 

When asked about Priyanka's reaction, she added, "Priyanka was jumping with joy, when I told her this big news. She isn't here right now. When she comes to India in end of April, we will celebrate the major win of this film."

Ventilator was produced by Priyanka's home banner Purple Pebble Pictures. It starred Ashutosh Gowariker in the pivotal role along with other major leading Marathi actors.
