EXCLUSIVE: My character has been given proper respect; no question of overshadowing - Nawazuddin on working with SRK in Raees
Rahul Dholakia's Raees has been in news ever since it has been announced. When the trailer hit the web, people were appreciating the performances by Shah Rukh Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Mahira Khan.
While SRK will be seen playing the titular role, Nawaz plays the role of a cop, Mazumdar in the film. In an interview with us, Siddiqui shared the experience of working with SRK in Raees. He said, "It was amazing shooting with Shah Rukh Khan. We have a lot of scenes together and I enjoyed doing it because if you have a co-actor who is genuinely and honestly reacting then half of your job is done. As you say, acting is a give and take relationship."
When we asked that ever his presence in the film got overshadowed by SRK's character, he replied, "This not even Shah Rukh wanted. My character has been given proper respect. While doing the scenes together, we were not Nawaz or Shah Rukh. He was Raees and I was Mazumdar. There was no question of overshadowing. You'll see the honesty between us onscreen."
Raees is all set to release on January 25, this year.
