EXCLUSIVE: I'm still facing troubles because no one has a change of Rs 2000 - Vidya Balan
Because India's economy relies predominantly on cash, the effects will be far greater. Due to demonetization, people have been facing troubles and they are standing in long queues outside ATMs to withdraw cash. It has adversely affected the daily wage labourers.
Not just the common masses, B-Town celebs have also been facing issues. In a candid conversation with Pinkvilla, Vidya Balan talked about the same. She said, "I'm still facing troubles because no one has a change of Rs 2000. For your basic necessities, you need change. I had sent someone to withdraw money and he got only Rs 2000 notes and for everything else, you can use your credit card."
"For your basic necessities, you really need cash and I'm actually happy that the sea-link toll has opened up, hopefully they'll give us the change because no one seems to be having it. I have no opinions on demonetization and I'm given to believe that it's a good step, though I do think that people have hugely been facing inconvenience and hope that it'll be worth it at the end of the day," added Vidya.
On the work front, Vidya Balan is currently basking in glory with Sujoy Ghosh's Kahaani 2.
