Sanjay Leela Bhansali is known to come down heavily on his assistants and actors alike if they don't deliver. Recently, Sonam Kapoor (Anil Kapoor's daughter) also invited his wrath when she failed to enact a sequence to perfection for in his latest film, Saawariya. Her failure was enough for Bhansali to hurl abuses at her. He even raged that he would destroy the negatives of the film and destroy her launch vehicle so that she could go back and 'sit at home'.
Unable to bear the harsh words from her mentor, a sobbing Sonam retired to her vanity van, but not before making frantic calls to daddy Anil Kapoor and uncle Boney Kapoor. In no time, the Kapoors rushed to the rescue of the damsel-in-distress. Apparently, Anil requested Bhansali to be more lenient and spare his daughter from such public humiliation. Staying true to his reputation, Bhansali begged them to not intrude into his space. A source close to Bhansali says, "He is a true perfectionist and hates any kind of compromise on his sets. Sonam was unable to get the emotions right, so he reprimanded her. For him everybody is equal on the sets and no one gets special treatment."
