Sanjay Dutt hospitalised last Monday
Sanjay Dutt had to be rushed to the hospital after he started complaining of restlessness last Monday.
One of the star's closest pals told us, ""Last Monday (July 16th), close to midnight, after he had a drink too many, he started feeling uneasy and complained about it to those present around him about the same. Petrified, they immediately took him to a hospital near his Pali Hill house. It was found out that he had crossed his drinking limits which perhaps led to acidity and consequent uneasiness. The doctors present, performed a few tests on him and gave him medicines. He was later discharged from the hospital in the wee hours of the morning. Most of Dutt's close friends and relatives also rushed in to the hospital by then. He is still on medication and has reduced his drinking after that incident.”
The source informs us, “Baba (Dutt) is very tense these days as his verdict date keeps getting pushed ahead every time he is called to the TADA court. He had stopped drinking two years back but with the court's verdict hanging like a sword over his head; he has resorted to drinking crazily in the last few months."
Sanjay Dutt was unavailable for comment. When we contacted the actor's secretary Kalim, we were told that he was sleeping, since he was unwell. Dutt's other close associates admitted to such a thing happening but refused to divulge more details.
Dutt's final verdict is expected to be out coming Thursday. He had applied for probation and offered to quit drinking forever for the same.
