A Glamourous Afternoon of Fine Food & Racing Excitement
Farrokh & Dilshad Khambata who own two of Mumbai's much loved fine,speciality food restaurants : Joss & Amadeus hosted a High Tea evening
at the Malahaxmi Race Course, Mumbai on Sunday 11th December to celebrate the Joss-Amadeus Cup, an exciting event in Mumbai's racing
calendar for 2011 / 12.
Also present on the occassion was Mr Vivek Jain, Chairman, RWITC whothat the race proceedings went off smoothly. Yesteryears superstar Dharmendra was present as a special guest of the RWITC
Guests seen enjoying this stylish early evening do included Yohan & Michelle Poonawala, Deepika & Ajay Gehani, Poonam Soni with daughter Kriti, Azeem & Sameena Khan, Nico Goghawala with wife Kamal Sidhu, Zeba Kohli, Kailash & Aarti Surendranath, Laila & Zubin Marker, Arzan Khambatta, Raell Padamsee, Pallak & Sameer Sheth, Roopa Fabiani, Poonam Dhillon, Vinod Nayyar, Mahika & Amrit Mirpuri, Dr Malavika Kohli, Sharon Prabhakar,
Also seen were racing regulars like Shekhar Bajaj, Mohit Lalwani and Pesi Shroff.
A Special Marquee was set up for guests to view the races and enjoyhigh tea comprising some of the favourites from Joss and Amadeus like Pinchos, Cocas,Moroccan Charmoula crusted Sea Bass Squares, Shawarmas, Smoked Salmon, Whole Mushroom Caps charred with Pedro Ximinez Sherry as well as an assortment of Sushi & Dimsums. Crème Catalan with Tequila Steeped Mango Confit, Chocolate Cigars,
Strawberry Pavlovas, Guandaja Ice Cream and Rose Petal Ice Cream were
sweet additions to the afternoon.
Adding a touch of Spanish style to the afternoon, were the duo AugustMoon who serenaded guests with their live singing. Sangrias and
cocktails upped the fun quotient.
The Joss-Amadeus Trophy that was given away by Farrokh & Dilshad Khambata and their son Hushan to horseowner Mr Jaydev Mody (owner of Black Jack) and to Jocket Daniel Grant.
