Model claims suicide because of Abhishek
Model-turned-actress Jhanvi Kapoor made a suicide attempt outside the Bachchans’ residence Pratiksha on Friday, claiming that Abhishek Bachchan had promised to marry her.
Around noon today, just hours before Abhi-Ash wedding, model-actress Jhanvi Kapoor turned up at Pratiksha in Juhu and slit her wrist, claiming that Abhishek had promised to marry her and even applied sindhoor on her forehead a few months back.
Jhanvi, who had acted with Abhishek in movie Dus in 2005, claimed that she and Abhi have been having a clandestine affair for a long time. Jhanvi also claimed that she and Abhi often used to meet secretly and go on long drives. It was during one such ride, Jhanvi alleged, that Abhi promised to marry her and even applied sindhoor on her forehead.
After Jhanvi cut her left wrist and was bleeding profusely, a reporter outside Pratiksha took her to the police station. She was later taken to Cooper hospital where as many as 40 stitches were done by doctors on her wrist.
The police did not register any complaint because Jhanvi was in a deranged state and had consumed sleeping pills. Jhanvi was also unable to provide any proof (photographs or letters) to prove that she was indeed having an affair with Abhishek
