Stefania Fernandez on Sunday became the sixth Miss Universe pageant winner from Venezuela.
The winner of 2009 Miss Universe has been announced. Miss Venezuela Stefania Fernandez has been crowned the new Miss Universe at the 58th annual event, which was held at the Atlantis Paradise Island in Nassau, Bahamas on Sunday, August 23. The 18-year-old beauty received the crown from Miss Universe 2008, Dayana Mendoza, who also comes from Venezuela. Surprisingly, the crown fell down when the outgoing titleholder wanted to put it at Fernandez's head as she was very excited to be the winner.
