Current Bollywood sex sirens like Mallika Sherawat and the likes are way ahead of their veterans like Zeenat Aman or Helen, with more glamour added and sex appeal. The new age bombshells are now trying to fit themselves in the shoes or rather rehash memorable roles essayed by the foster heroines. After Kareena doing a tango for Helen’s track ‘Yeh Mera Dil’ in SRK starrer ‘Don’, Mallika Sherawat now bags a full fledged role enacted by Zeenat Aman in her glory days. She is all set to reprise Zeenat Aman’s sensuousness in Feroz Khan’s 1980 movie ‘Qurbani’. Zeenat played a nightclub dancer named Sheela. The film is unforgettable for songs like ‘Laila O Laila’ and ‘Hum Tumhe Chahte Hain Aise’ which showcased the best of Zeenat’s oomph.

Mallika Sherawat sets off to redo the same role in Feroz Khan’s modern day remake of the film ‘Kurbani’. Though talks about the film have been going on for a long time, Feroz couldn’t start on with the project for the casting. He has been searching for the actress of the film and though Priyanka Chopra was considered for the role she was not finalized. Reports are that Mallika has bagged the role. Mallika will be paired with Fardeen Khan who enacts the role played by his father in the original film. Another hero to play the role by Vinod Khanna has not yet been finalised. Saif Ali Khan was supposed to do the part but he bagged out due to date problems. Feroz Khan plans to play the role of Amjad Khan. With most of the casting of the film decided, it would go to floors soon.
