Why did you refuse the assignment?
They wanted me to wear a bikini and walk the ramp. I was just not willing to do that. There are many more ways to promote things like this but I wasn’t ready to drop down to a two-piece bikini.
Was the contract not good enough?
As far as the contract is concerned, they did offer me a lot of money - but that’s not the point. I didn’t feel it was right.
Then was there any family pressure?
Saying that my family doesn’t approve of it is a very lame excuse. I am very much entitled to do what I want to and I have always done just that. But as I said, I myself didn’t want to do it.
But does Arbaaz ever raise his own objections?
I pretty much know where to draw the line and even Arbaaz knows that. He is confident that I know my limits. At the end of the day, you may be whatever, but you are answerable to someone and there has to be some kind of decorum one needs to maintain.
