Abhishek Awasthi decided to go a step ahead in professing his love to his girl Rakhi Sawant by getting her name tattooed on his right arm at Al’s Tattoo Parlour in Bandra. Abhishek says it was an impulsive decision. “I got the tattoo a few months back. It wasn’t something I thought of doing before. I just woke up one day and decided to get it done.”

Natural choice

Rakhi’s name was the obvious choice for a tattoo design, as he says, “I am in love with her. So her name came naturally to me. Also it’s tattooed in a cryptic font and you can make out the name only after you take a closer look.”

The painful process lasted for six hours. “I wanted to add colour to it as well. But the whole ordeal was quite painful and I wasn’t ready to spend anymore time on it,” adds Awasthi.

Rakhi, who has six tattoos all over her body, says she was thrilled when she saw her name inked on Abhishek’s arm. “Of course it feels great. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw it. I didn’t know he was seriously going to get it done.”

Talking about the tattoos on her body, she says, “I have six tattoos on various parts of my body. But I am thinking of removing some of them as there are too many of them everywhere.”

Though Abhishek has been down with fever and body ache, they are rehearsing hard for Nach Baliye 3. “I have been feeling sick, but now that we are in the competition we have to win it. Our choreographer Pratap Shetty is fabulous. He has given us some brilliant moves.”
