Imtiaz Ali at Magnum Opus hosted by Xavier Institute of Communications
On February 17th, the Public Relations batch of Xavier Institute of Communications (XIC) played host to Magnum Opus, a one-of-a-kind networking opportunity and entertainment night rolled into one.
Magnum Opus, a red-carpet style awards night, featured various alumni being recognized for their success in the field of communications. Professionals such as Anil Nair (CEO, Law & Kenneth India) and Rajeev Masand were honored at the event.
The event featured rich entertainment: face-off performances in dancing and singing, photography and short film competitions, and a set by sufi-rock band Wasabi ensured that there was not a dull moment in the evening.
Magnum Opus also featured ace director Imtiaz Ali, who said it was good to be back at XIC and spoke especially of the warmth he has always received from the institute. He presented awards to the winners of the short film and photography competition and congratulated them on their win. Ex-Miss India contestant Vaishali Desai was also at the event and presented awards as well.
