The end of brand John and Bips??
It certainly seems 'all clear' that Bipasha and John are finally done for good. The two were co-endorsers for shampoo brand 'Clinic All Clear', one of their more high profile joint endorsements, but as these billboards show, Bipasha has been cleared out of the picture.
It is these hoardings which perhaps signify the end of brand John and Bipasha even louder and clearer than the infamous Christiano Ronaldo kiss. Industry insiders say that the glue holding John and Bipasha together for all these years, especially during the latter half of their relationship was their joint endorsements. But now, that seems to be a thing of the past.
What is surprising though is the speed with which Bipasha was replaced considering the so called official break-up took place only a couple of days ago. But in the bad world of brand building, two days can be everything.
Says ad filmmaker Pralhad Kakka, "Life goes on. Now Bipasha and John will be seen as two different entities."
John and Bipasha's endorsements include John's guzzling diet Pepsi and Bipasha's slugging back Thumbs Up, while John wriggled into his Wranglers, Bipasha was snug in her Levis. However, their most high profile brand endorsement was for Clinic All Clear.
So while John still seems to be in the clear, it's not sure what Bipasha's equation is at the moment. When contacted official agency Lowe Lintas refused to comment on the issue.
It’s been just less than a week since Bipasha Basu announced to the world that she's single for the first time in ten years. But from the looks of this much touted ad campaign, it seems John and Bipasha have been single for quite sometime. Obviously, there's more to this split side story than meets the eye.
